We are Patricia and Nui and we have been operating the Laughing Gecko bungalows in Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand for over 10 years. Tricia is a native of Canada who moved to Thailand nearly 20 years ago where she met Nui and fell in love.

We spent their first 12 years together on the Island of Koh Yao Noi. Tiring of island life, we decided to move back to mainland Krabi and established the Laughing Gecko Bungalows.

Our aim is to bring our long experience of traditional Thai living to you right here in Ao Nang and to provide an affordable eco-friendly option for travellers of all ages.

We invite you to come and join us and our family during your stay in Thailand, and will do our best to introduce to all the best parts of Southern Thai lifestyle, food and the spectacular Krabi region.

  • From your bungalow to Nopparathara Beach is less than 50 Meters (Map) to Ao Nang Beach is 4 Kilometers
    
    
• Am I required to participate in the community dinner?
  • No. We encourage our guests to participate with us, because it really helps support the community we are developing, however it is not required.
    
    
• Can I cook my own food?
  • No, it is not permitted for guests to use the kitchen. We invite you to join us in our community dinner or we can direct you to any number of local restaurants.
    
    
• Are there things for my kids to do?
  • We have several toys for children as well as a game room for our guests to use.
    
    
• Do you charge extra for each child to stay?
  • No, there is no additional charge for children
